| In 1970, the old post office was sold and local high school history teacher and history buff, Paul Carlson removed the mural with the help of students Tom Musolf and Debbie Milling. The mural was sprayed with $25 worth of varnish to set the surface. It remained in storage until Mr. Carlson's death in 2008 when his family presented it to the Park Ridge library. |
| The mural was restored by Parma Conservation for $38,000 and unveiled at the library on February 22, 2013. This picture was taken during it's restoration at Parma in September 2012. |
