The original mural for Kennebunkport was painted in 1941 by Elizabeth Tracy and was entitled "Bathers". The citizens of Kennebunkport did not like the mural one bit. They raised $1000 from the locals in order to contract Gordon Grant to paint a satisfactory replacement mural in 1945. The is no "official" title for the replacement mural.
