The women shown are Lucy Flower, Grace Abbott, Frances Perkins, Jane Addams, Susan B. Anthony, Harriet Tubman, Harriet Beecher Stowe, and Clara Barton. There is also an Allegorical Scene of Women Sewing and an Allegorical Scene of Women's Fight for Peace
Mural was painted over in 1941; uncovered and restored 1995-1998
